The Boston Red Sox clinched a playoff birth by beating the Cleveland Indians 5 - 4. Tampa Bay swept a double header from the Baltimore Orioles so Tampa's lead is now 3 games for the AL East Division title.In a battle that could decide the final AL entrant into the playoffs. The Minnesota Twins took the first game 9 - 3. The Sox are 1 1/2 games up on the Twins for the AL Central.
