Jim Rice ELECTED TO HOF
Jim Ed Rice FINALLY entered the Hall of Fame today on his 15th and last try. Rice, after narrowly missing the 75% needed last year, finally eclipsed that mark with 76.4%. Rice was the AL MVP in 1978 hitting .315, 46 HRs and 215 hits and 139 RBIs.
Also voted in was Rickey Henderson. He somehow managed only to get only a little under 95% of the ballot, which means a total of 28 people did not vote for him. Two words for the people who didn't vote for him.
Ass.
Hat.
Oh and Harold Baines got 5.9% of he vote. I wonder if someone voted for Baines but not Rice or Rickey. Hmmmm....
