Will it ever end???
Guess who is ready to stretch the retirement drama for a few more weeks? Brett Favre, who filled the airways last year (thanks to ESPN) with is on again/off again retirement ordeal and who was most recently hammered in the media by some of his teammates, told ESPN's very own Ed Werder that he is going to take "several weeks" (hopefully no more than 1) before he decides on his NFL future. However, Favre did acknowledge that the retirement drama is a bit much:
"I'm an emotional guy, and I'm sure people are tired of seeing me get emotional. People would probably say, 'Oh, here he goes again.' I think it would just be better for me to just thank the Jets, and I sincerely mean that. It was well worth what I invested. But I'm going to just quietly step away if that's what happens.''
Oh jesus Brett, don't give us the worst tease since Ali Larter wore whipped cream and for a few seconds made every guy in America actually wish they were Brad Moxon.
So how long will it take for this drama to unfold? Will Brett come back? How much airplay will ESPN give this? Stay tuned next week. Same Brett channel, same Brett time. Holy end of the season collapse Brettman, Mangini got a job.
