Boston College star linebacker Mark Herzlich has been diagnosed with Ewing's Saroma, a type of cancer normally found in children, and young adults. Herzlich, 21, was the ACC Defensive Player of the Year in 2008, and voted first team All-American by Rivals.com and Scout.com.
Herzlich did release a statement announcing his condition, as well as his intentions to return to football as soon as he possibly can.
You can read his, and Head Coach Frank Spaziani's statements, here.
We here at the CMSB wish him a speedy and full recovery from cancer. Kick some ass Mark.
