- Junichi Tazawa did not get a chance to throw a pitch in the MLB Futures Game in St Louis because of a 4 hour rain delay. Red Sox A Ball phenom Casey Kelly, pitched a scoreless 6th for the US. Tazawa was scheduled to start the game. The World beat The US 7 – 5.
- The New Hampshire Fisher Cats continued the barrage of runs at Hadlock, beating the Sea Dogs 11 – 3 Sunday.
- Terry Francona announced after yesterday's game that Clay Buchholz will start Friday’s Sox game versus the Toronto Blue Jays.
- Josh Beckett looked like the ace of the staff Sunday allowing 3 hits and no runs in the complete game 6 – 0 Red Sox win over the Kansas City Royals.
