- The University of Maine Football team played with fire for a half..and won. Syracuse took over in 2nd ultimately beating the Black Bears 41 – 24.
- The Portland Pirates looked like a team playing it’s first real game, allowing 5 unanswered goals to begin the game. They fought back and played solid for the 2nd half of the game to a 6 – 3 loss to the Lowell Devils. The Pirates play today in New Hampshire.
- The Boston Bruins fell in their last pre season matchup 4 – 2 against Columbus.
- CC Sebathia shut down the Sox Saturday 3 – 0 in the Bronx.
