Bowdoin's Oelschlager, Curren Net All-NESCAC Honors

Bowdoin College field hockey players Ingrid Oelschlager (Roanoke, Va.) and Ella Curren (Roxbury, Conn.) have been selected as All-Conference performers by the New England Small College Athletic Conference. Oelschlager was named as a first-team choice while Curren received second-team recognition.

Oelschlager, the NESCAC's Rookie of the Year in 2007, nets first-team honors for the first time in her career. The junior playmaker started at 16 games in the midfield for Bowdoin this season, scoring four goals to go with six assists. Through three seasons, Oelschlager has 25 goals and 12 assists for a total of 62 points.

Curren stepped into a starting spot with ease in 2009 to earn the first postseason honor of her career. Starting all 16 contests this season, Curren led the squad with nine goals this season, including a hat trick against Bates on September 19. She also pitched in three assists on the campaign for the Polar Bears.

Bowdoin finished their season with a record of 10-6, reaching the NESCAC Semifinals.
