BIDDEFORD TAKES FIX CUP

Trevor Fleurent scored hat tricks in the prelim game as well of the Fix Cup Final to help power Biddeford to a 6 – 1 tournament win over Falmouth.

The Fix Cup, named in honor of Frank Fixaris, legendary WGAN/WGME – TV and 96.3 Big Jab personality, pits the 4 best teams in Southern Maine High School hockey for the pre holiday tournament. Frank Fixaris had a huge influence over high school sports in Maine, and this tournament is just another reminder of exactly how much he meant to the sports world in Maine.

The opening game of the tournament looked to be the best matchup of the day, as Biddeford outlasted Thornton Academy 7 – 6.

Falmouth easily disposed of Cape Elizabeth 7 – 2 in their prelim matchup.
