The Afternoon Linkage-Where Mario West Goes Back to The NBA
A little late afternoon linkage for you all today...
Mark McGwire is slated to sit down with Bob Costas at 7 pm tonight on MLB Network, after announcing in a statement that he used steroids during the 1998 season and for much of his Major League career. You couldn't have done this the week after the Super Bowl, Mark?
Mario West will be leaving the Maine Red Claws to return to the Atlanta Hawks on a 10-day contract (providing nothing bad happens tonight), according to Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski via Twitter.
Nick Green is headed to the Dodgers to be a back-up for Rafael Furcal.
Mark Recchi is getting some time at center with the injury-ravaged Bruins this week.
New Hampshire native and current St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Chris Carpenter won the Tony Conigliaro Award.
