Monday Maledictions will be up later, but for now let's get to some links from this past weekend's sports action.
- The Black Bears had a great weekend on the hardwood. On Saturday the men knocked off Boston College 52-51 and improved to 7-5 on the season. The women, not to be outdone, knocked off UMass 65-49 on Sunday afternoon.
- Jhonas Enroth made 39 saves for the Pirates and shut-out Providence.
- Jason Bay apparently agreed to his deal with the Mets on Christmas. His physical with the Mets is today.
- The Patriots lost Wes Welker for a very long time with an acl/mcl tear early, played good for three quarters on the road against a good Texans team, then fell apart in the fourth quarter. They finish the year 10-6 and will play the Ravens Sunday at 1.
- The Bruins agreed to a deal with veteran Miroslav Satan, and Milan Lucic is practicing again.
- The Maine Red Claws are out in Boise for the D-League showcase.
- The great Mike Emrick joined Jeff and myself to recap the Winter Classic this weekend.
