Wednesday-Where the #RedSox Acquiring Bill Hall Happens
Usually Wednesday is a slow link day around here, but somehow, some way, things happened last night. Let's round it up..
The UMaine womens hoops team kept it close but fell to BU in Orono last night. They are now 4-9 on the year.
The Boston Red Sox traded Casey Kotchman to the Seattle Mariners for Bill Hall, Cash, and a minor leaguer to be named. Hall will be a bench/utility guy who can play in the infield and outfield.
Speaking of the outfield, Terry Francona made it official, Jacoby Ellsbury will be replacing Jason Bay in left field.
After getting the news that Patrice Bergeron will miss at least two weeks with a thumb issue, the Bruins jumped on Ottawa early and held on for a 4-1 win. Dennis Wideman managed to make it through the game without injuring anymore of his teammates.
The Red Claws had a lack of defense and some cold-shooting in a loss to Sioux Falls.
The USA junior hockey team managed to knock off Canada in a thrilling overtime victory to win the Gold Medal in the WJHC.
The Maine Renegades hockey team advanced to the final of the 10 and under tourney.
Ian Rapoport from the Boston Herald, who will join us this weekend on the Weekend Warm-Up, has a great story on Julian Edelman.
