The Portland Sea Dogs have called up 1st baseman Anthony Rizzo from Single-A Salem. He was originally in the lineup tonight against Binghamton, but didn't make it to Portland in time to be in the starting line-up.
The 20 year-old Rizzo has hit .248 w/ 5 homers and 20 RBI'S in 29 games this season in the Carolina League. He was drafted in 6th round in 2007, and he beat cancer in 2008.
